Mandell L. Crawley Managing Director, joined Morgan Stanley in October 1992 as a High School Intern and now serves as Head of National Business Development within Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Group. Mandell leads an organization of business development managers across the branch network that is responsible for driving revenue and new asset growth, improving financial advisor competencies required for delivering a top performing wealth management practice, and connecting our advisors and clients to the myriad of resources via MS’s industry leading platform.

Prior to his current assignment, Mandell held a succession of roles within the Business Development Organization as both a Regional and Divisional Business Development Manager for several key geographical markets across the wealth management unit.

Mandell was also Head of U.S. Fixed Income Sales & Distribution for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Capital Markets Group overseeing a large coverage team specializing in Interest Rates, Credit, Asset Back, Structured Products, and Municipal Bond Securities. In aggregate he spent 14 of his 20 years working within Fixed Income Capital Markets in various producing & managerial capacities.

He is a member of the MSWM’s Management Committee, Private Banking Advisory Board, and New Products Review Committee.

Personal

Mandell received an MBA with honors from Fordham University (New York City) and a BA in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago). He resides in Westchester County, NY with his wife Alison, and is a proud native of Chicago, IL.

BHMBAA and the NBMBAA NY Metro Chapter are once again teaming up for the 2013 College Awareness Symbolizes Hope (C.A.S.H) mentoring program.

The sole mission of the C.A.S.H Program is to provide African-American high school students with awareness, education and information of the economic, financial and social advantages of graduating from high school and matriculating through college. It provides access to business professionals and resources to help the youth in our community in several aspects of their life from choosing the right college and career to living their lives financially independent. This program gives the students a competitive advantage to be able to soundly compete in today’s and tomorrow’s intertwined global economy.

Please join us on Friday, January 18th from 6-8pm in the Lowenstein Plaza (next to cafeteria) to learn more about the program and how you can get involved as a mentor.
